If we were to crunch the data relating to plastics recycling and reduce it to one meaningful headline it would be that by 2040 the world will be producing 400 million tpa of plastic.
To put that into context, in 2018 70 brand owners and organisations pledged for recycled content, generating a demand in Europe for 10 million tonnes per year of recycled plastics by 2025 in order to address their targets related to greater sustainability and carbon neutrality.
